The city of Las Tablas, in the province of Los Santos, is preparing for one of the most anticipated dates on its festive calendar: the traditional Desfile de las Mil Polleras (Parade of a Thousand Polleras). This year, the national costume in all its variants will dress the streets of Las Tablas on January 17, with an attendance projection exceeding 250,000 people.

As part of the preparations, municipal authorities have begun issuing permits for more than 90 temporary stalls, intended for the sale of food, drinks, crafts, and other commercial activities, allowing entrepreneurs and merchants to carry out economic activity during the event days.

The mayor of Las Tablas, Noé Herrera, informed that the allocation of these spaces will be carried out from January 2, and they will be located along the entire route of the Desfile de las Mil Polleras, with the aim of guaranteeing an orderly and safe distribution.

Regarding regulations, the mayor explained that specific rules have been established for this event. Although the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages will be permitted, they must be sold in suitable containers and under strict sanitary measures, with the use of glass containers being prohibited.

In addition, it was informed that those who aspire to a sales stall for this festivity must comply with the regulations of the security entities, including obtaining a permit from the Fire Department for the use of gas tanks and electrical connections, as well as food handling credentials for stalls dedicated to the sale of food and drinks.

Finally, it was reported that public and private parking spaces have been enabled, considering that the closure of some roads will be carried out with days in advance, as part of the logistical plan to facilitate the mobilization of attendees arriving from different points in the country.
